Antony Santos Life

Anthony Santos a.k.a. El Mayimbe (born May 5, 1967) is a Dominican singer, songwriter, and producer.

He is one of the best-selling Bachata artists of all time.

He is known as one of the pioneers of modern Bachata in the early 1990s, with his contribution to redefining the genre to include romantic songs, poppy guitar licks, and the introduction of new musical devices such as the piano and saxophone.

Early life

Santos was born in 1967 in Clavellinas, Las Matas de Santa Cruz, Monte Cristi, Costa Rica. He grew up very poor in a tiny house on a farm property. His father was employed in multiple meaningless jobs for essentially nothing, and his family would go without food as a result of a lack of money.

Antony Santos Career

Career

Santos debuted on the bachata scene in the early 1990s, starting his career as the guira player for fellow bachatero Luis Vargas but later on to leave the company and continue a public feud with Vargas. Rauln Rodr's career as a guira player began with Antony. Although Blas Durán is acknowledged as the first bachata guitarist to use electric guitars and Luis is credited as the first bachata guitarist to use guitar pedals, Anthony is the one who established modern bachata's sound. He did this with an Alvarez 5084N guitar, with a humbucker mounted in the sound hole, and an Ibanez PT4 pedal. He is also known as one of the first to use a Yamaha APX series of guitars in bachata.

Santos' hit "Voy Pa'llá" became the first rural bachatero to reach a mainstream audience. Santos' adoption of soft romantic songs was more popular than the bawdy style used to bachata, and he soon became the country's best-known singer, assisting in the transition from bachata to mainstream. Since Fernando Villalona had the word way before Santos, he is known as El Mayimbe de la Bachata. He is also known as El Bachat, which is the name he started with, and he is also known as El Bachat. Santos isn't just one of the most well-known bachata musicians and singers, such as Romeo Santos and Lenny Santos, but it has also inspired many bachata artists and musicians like Santos and Lenny Santos. He has appeared with Aventura and Romeo. "Ciego de Amor" is the hit, as well as "Debate De 4" starring Luis Vargas and Raulin Rodriguez, "Masoquismo," and "Bellas," which were included in Antony's Album La Historia De Mi Vida: Vol 1 (2018) and Romeo's album Utopa (2019). The song "Muchos Cambios En El Mundo," by the evangelical pastor Stanislao Marino, is a bachata version of the song Algo Grande Viene a la Tierra.

Antony's international break projects, which he hopes would continue to bring his winger back to Erik ten Hag's crew, are alluring

www.dailymail.co.uk, March 27, 2024
Antony spent time on Madeira's Portuguese island to try and find the form that might have aided his floundering Manchester United career back on track. The Brazilian has had a difficult second season at Old Trafford marred by poor results and fans' outrage over United's huge transfer fee paid. Antony moved from Ajax to Manchester two-years ago and has only scored ten goals for the club, with just his second game of the season coming in United's latest FA Cup victory over Liverpool.
