Antonio Carbajal, Mexico's most popular former goalkeeper who appeared in five World Cups, has died at the age of 93. Carbajal set the record for 32 years after representing his country in Brazil, Switzerland, 1954, Sweden 1958, Chile 1962, and England 1966, before it was met by Germany superstar Lothar Matthaus in 1998. Rafael Marquez and Andres Guardado, as well as Lionel Messi and Cristiano Ronaldo, have since equalled his mark in Carbajal.
