Ann Biderman Career

Career

Biderman converted the novel Sense of Snow by Smilla's Spira's to a 1997 film's screenplay.

Biderman created the crime drama Southland, which aired as a midseason replacement for NBC in the 2008-09 television season. In South Los Angeles, the series focuses on patrol officers and detectives.

Biderman produced the pilot episode and appeared as an executive producer for the first season alongside John Wells and Christopher Chulack. "See the Woman," "See the Woman," "Sally in the Alley" and "Derailed" were among her scripts.

Southland was revived for a second season, and Biderman remained a producer and writer. After six episodes had been completed, NBC reversed the decision and cancelled Southland. The series was then picked up by the TNT network, and as the show's second season, the previously produced episodes were broadcast. "Phase Three" with Wells co-wrote and wrote the episode "U-Boat."

TNT revived the series for a third season, but TNT has drastically reduced the production budget. Biderman resigned as executive producer, but he stayed as an executive consultant. With Wells, she co-wrote the third season premiere "Let It Snow."

In 2013, Biderman created Ray Donovan, a Showtime film. She appeared as showrunner during the first season of the showboat and wrote many scripts, including the pilot. Biderman resigned as showrunner after the second season.
