Andrew Chou Life

Andrew Chou (born May 7, 1990), also known as MACHI DIDI on stage, is an American born Taiwanese singer, DJ, and music arranger. He was the youngest member of the Taiwanese hip-hop group Machi.

He recorded three studio albums with the group, as well as his debut album, "Oh My!" when he was in Machi. Following his debut with Machi, Joe has written and produced music for a number of well-known artists, including Vanness Wu, Nicky Lee, and S.H.E.

2002 - 06: Career beginnings and Machi

"Oh My God" was his first solo album on record in 2004. Andrew's family made the album a hit, but Andrew's family made the decision to prioritize education over his music career, causing Andrew to return to America to study, shortening the time he was allowed to promote and perform in Taiwan. At Corona del Mar High School, Andrew was bullied and confronted with bigotry. He decided to combat bullying and become a more confident individual.

In 2005, he moved to Taiwan in order to be able to pursue his music career, attending Taipei American School. Machi's third and last album, Superman (). Andrew went to Beijing, China, for several months to appear in a film called "Slam," directed by Jonathan Lim. The film received the Gold Award for Best Film at the 2008 Worldfest in Houston.
