Amanda Keller Life

Amanda Rose Keller (born 25 February 1962) is an Australian television and radio presenter, writer, editor, journalist, and media personality best known for her work as the host of the popular Australian lifestyle show The Living Room.

On WSFM 101.7 and Dancing with the Stars with Grant Denyer on Network 10, Keller also co-hosts Jonesy & Amanda with Brendan Jones.

Education

Keller attended Carlingford High School and Mitchell College of Advanced Education (now Charles Sturt University), where she earned a Bachelor of Arts in Communications in 1982. She was a contemporary of Andrew Denton and, in some cases, a disciple of Peter Temple. She appeared on campus with on-campus community radio station 2MCE-FM. In Year 12, 3 Unit Art was studied.

Personal life

She supports the Sydney Roosters rugby league team in the Australian National Rugby League.

Keller and her partner Harley Oliver have two children and live in Sydney.

Career

In 1983, she began working as a researcher for Simon Townsend's Wonder World, the country's most famous children's television show. When Gordon Elliott and Kerri-Anne Kennerley were hosts, she became a writer and producer for Good Morning Australia. She appeared on television for the first time in 1985, as a researcher and producer for Ray Martin's Midday show.

She left Midday in 1987 to appear in Richard Neville's Counter-culture program Extra Dimensions, which was also produced by the same team that made Beyond 2000. After the first season, Extra Dimensions was discontinued. Keller's luck changed when she was accepted to Beyond 2000, the internationally recognised science program, where she received numerous media awards, including the United Nations Association of Australia's Media Peace Award in 1989 and the Michael Daley Award for Science Journalism.

She joined Andrew Denton as a regular guest on his show Denton in 1994, where she combined her scientific experience with a love of popular culture and kitsch, resulting in the publication of Amanda's Handy Home Hints, Amanda's Handy Home Hints. She co-presented the breakfast program with Denton at Sydney radio station Triple M when the series ended in 1995. She hosted The Hub, her own contemporary culture show on cable television at the same time.

Mondo Thingo, she's own pop culture-centric show, aired in 2004. Keller was a member of Dancing with the Stars in 2006, where she advanced to the fifth round before being disqualified.

Amanda Doyle, the Regional Manager, appeared in the SBS television series Swift and Shift Couriers in 2008 and returned to this role in season two in 2011. Also on SBS TV, she appeared in a small part in another sitcom, Housos.

Keller was the Baby Boomers team leader on Network Ten's quiz show 'Bout Your Generation' in 2009. The show debuted in 2009 and concluded in 2012 in its fourth season.

In 2017, she became one of Australia's highest paid women. She made a cameo appearance as a news reporter alongside Brendan Jones and Ita Buttrose in episode 7547 of The Bold and the Beautiful earlier this year.

Keller joined Grant Denyer in co-hosting Dancing with the Stars in 2019.
