Alexander Gavrylyuk (born 1984 in Kharkiv) is a USSR-born Ukrainian and Australian pianist.
Career
At the age of nine, Gavrylyuk's first concert appearance was at a museum. He immigrated to Australia at the age of 13.
In 1999, he won the Vladimir Horowitz Competition, and the Arthur Rubinstein International Piano Master Competition was won in 2005.
Gavrylyuk has performed solo recitals at Wigmore Hall in London, Tonhalle, Zürich, and the Berliner Konzerthaus. Sergei Prokofiev's five concerts with the Sydney Symphony Orchestra under Vladimir Ashkenazy have been recorded.
