On the first night of the Tory gathering, which is being hosted by a pro-Boris Johnson campaign group, she is reportedly attending a black-tie gala dinner. Following Mr Johnson's ouster last summer, the Conservative Democratic Group was formed to call for a reform of Conservative Party laws. It requires a series of changes to encourage Tory members to 'take back control' by increasing their power over topics such as strategic planning and candidate selection. Mr Johnson has been back to Downing Street before, and CDO chiefs have previously stated that the group is a front to return him.
