Early life
Adelaide Victoria Kane was born in Claremont, a suburb of Perth, Western Australia, on August 9, 1990. Her Scottish father was born in Glasgow, whereas her mother is of Scottish, Irish, and French descent.
When she was seven years old, her parents divorced, and Adelaide and her brother were raised by their single mother. She grew up in Perth and attended the Anglican School for Girls at St Hilda. She and her mother and her father moved to Melbourne when she joined Neighbours, although her brother and stepfather remained in Perth. While shooting children's television show Power Rangers RPM, she also lived in New Zealand for a short period.
In September 2009, she moved to Los Angeles to pursue her acting career at the age of 19.
Personal life
Kane appeared alongside Reign co-star Sean Teale between 2014 and 2016. Kane began a friendship with her Into the Dark co-star Jacques Colimon in July 2019. In 2020, the couple will wed a divorce. Kane revealed she was bisexual in February 2021. Kane first started dating Dutch model Marthe Woertman in April 2021.
Kane suffers from generalized anxiety disorder and has spoken out several times about the need to remove the stigma surrounding mental disorders.
Career
Kane started performing at the age of three, first with dance and then to singing and acting. She began working in some print ads, then moved to television spots, and appeared in various children's TV shows at the age of six.
Kane was chosen to appear as Lolly Allen in August 2006 after she entered a competition run by Dolly magazine. She was given a three-month contract with the show. Her friends advised her to enter the competition, but she didn't believe she would be able to get the job. Kane revealed in December that she would leave the show if her deal was not renewed. Kane did not appear as Lolly at the time of the announcement. Kane was nominated for the Logie Award for Most Popular New Female Talent in 2008 for her appearance as Lolly.
Kane portrayed Tenaya 7 on Power Rangers RPM, part of the long-running Power Rangers franchise from March to December 2009.
Kane appeared in NBC's television film Secrets of the Mountains in April 2010. She appeared in the Hulu series Pretty Tough, which was based on Li Tigelaar's book.
