Historical drama set in Alabama during the 1955 Montgomery bus boycott. It follows Odessa Carter, a black woman working as a nanny for a white family. One of the buses used in the film is bus #2857 on which Rosa Parks was arrested.
Trivia
Octavia Spencer worked as an intern on the film. She became friends with Whoopi Goldberg, who advised her to go to college before moving to Hollywood.
