A royal battle for love connects King Arthur, Guinevere and Lancelot. While fighting for the attention of the potential future queen to be Guinevere with Lancelot, King Arthur is being distracted from an outside force that's focused on taking his throne. 

Trivia

Prior to Julia Ormond being selected for the role of Guinevere, actress Catherine Zeta-Jones was also being strongly considered. However, actress Julia Ormond initially turned down the part of Guinevere because she felt as though the character of Guinevere, was initially written to be too strong and independent.
