Christine

A nerdish boy buys a strange car with an evil mind of its own and his nature starts to change to reflect it.

A nerdy outcast purchases a 1958 Plymouth motor vehicle which he names Christine. He then develops an unhealthy obsession with the car which begins to worry his friends. When the vehicle is vandalized it somehow restores itself and begins killing off the perpetrating vandals.  

Trivia

The film was directed by horror maestro John Carpenter. The screenplay was based off of author Stephen King's 1983 novel of the same name.
