Saldana made her debut in a 1999 episode of Law & Order after her appearances with the theater company Faces.
With Center Stage (2000), where she appeared as a struggling ballet dancer, her film career began a year later. Early life
Salda was born in Passaic, New Jersey, on June 19, 1978. The bulk of her early childhood was spent in Jackson Heights, New York. She was raised bilingual, and she could speak both English and Spanish. Cisely and Mariel are her two sisters. Salda was a member of Faces after being exposed to Law & Order (P2D) in 1999. Saldaa's first film appearance was in Center Stage (2000), directed by Nicholas Hytner, about dancers at the fictional American Ballet Academy in New York city.
