Takehiro Tomiyasu of Arsenal has been named in the Japan squad, marking the first time the 24-year-old has been selected for a World Cup. In the meantime, Celtic duo Kyogo Furuhashi and Reo Hatate have been ruled out. Yuya Osako and Union Berlin midfielder Genki Harachi were both left out.
