Coronation Street, the 64-year-old ITV soap, is in shambles because the channel has been unable to find a boss to run it. MailOnline has learned that a number of television executives have resigned from the position, leaving the network with a 'huge headache.' Huw Kennair-Jones' top drama supervisor and former editor have been sent to sort the issue out, and he has met with a number of top television executives from BBC, Channel 4, and Sky in an attempt to persuade them to come over. However, after Iain McLeod departed Coronation Street's boss for a larger role at the broadcaster over six years last week, he has failed to entice anyone to host the show, which is set in the fictional town of Weatherfield. MacLeod's wife and deputy, Verity MacLeod, is filling in until they find someone to do the job as a result of a stop gap.
