What It Was Like on the "Hocus Pocus 2" Set, From an Extra Who Lived the Magical Experience

www.popsugar.co.uk, October 5, 2022
As October begins, everything has been fine (amok, amok) on Disney+. On September 30, the sequel to the much-loved Halloween classic "Hocus Pocus" began streaming, delighting young and old fans alike. The Sanderson sisters, one of our favorite witches, are back and casting spells on a whole new crew of Salem, MA, residents. Jess Lee, a Rhode Island resident who channeled her enthusiasm for the 1993 original film into a background role in "Hocus Pocus 2," is one of those depicting the fictional New Englanders. Despite Lee, 35, who isn't an actor by trade (in fact, she leads diversity, equity, and inclusion at a multinational life sciences and scientific instrumentation firm), she exercised her on-camera chops while filming the film in Newport, Rhode Island, last November.

The cast of the beloved film assembled on the red carpet to celebrate the long-anticipated launch of "Hocus Pocus 2" on Disney+. The original Sanderson Sisters, played by Sarah Jessica Parker, Kathy Najimy, and Bette Midler, posed for photographs at AMC Lincoln Square Theatre in New York on September 27. The three children's families, as well as fellow cast members Doug Jones, Whitney Peak, Lilia Buckingham, Belissa Escobedo, and others were among those on hand. Marion Loretta Elwell and Tabitha Hodge Broderick, Parker's wife, who has mainly kept her children out of the spotlight over the years, welcomed Matthew Broderick and her 13-year-old twin daughters Marion Loretta Elwell and Tabitha Hodge Broderick. For the occasion, the actor and producer wore a floral-print jacket and harem-style trousers, while Marion chose a reflective, glitter jacket, and Tabitha went for a black puff-sleeve minidress. All three children wore SJP boots from Sarah Jessica Parker, highlighting the woman of the hour. Parker and her 19-year-old son James Wilkie Broderick attended the premiere of "And Just Like That" in December 2021, so family red carpet appearances may be a new tradition.

In Hocus Pocus 2, the beloved witches of Salem, Massachusetts, will return nearly 30 years after the Sanderson Sisters wreaked squabble. Bette Midler (Winifred), Sarah Jessica Parker (Sarah), and Kathy Najimy (Mary) reprise their roles in the sequel, which will debut on Disney Plus on September 30. In a recent interview with Entertainment Weekly, producer Anne Fletcher announced that the sequel's first sequence would explore the sisters' roots in the 1600s.

The Sanderson Sisters Are Back in the First Trailer For "Hocus Pocus 2"

www.popsugar.co.uk, June 28, 2022
Amuck, amuck, amuck! In the form of a "Hocus Pocus" sequel, there's something wicked about it. The original film premiered in 1993, but now, almost 30 years later, we're headed to Salem for more Halloween hijinks. The new movie's teaser trailer was revealed on June 28th. Bette Midler, Sarah Jessica Parker, and Kathy Najimy return to their roles as the Sanderson Sisters in this book, promising chaos and wriggle for the teenagers of Massachusetts' spookiest town. All three of the characters were turned into smog at the start of the first "Hocus Pocus," so it will be interesting to see how the movie defends returning them.
