Veno Taufer (born 19 February 1933) is a Slovenian poet, essayist, translator, and playwright.
He is known as one of Slovenia's top Slovenian modernist poets of the postwar period, together with Dane Zajc and Gregor Strnia.
He was a driving force behind alternative cultural and academic programs in Socialist Slovenia, which challenged the Titoist regime's cultural policies.
