Peter Andrej (born in Maribor) is a Slovenian poet, singer, guitarist, engineer, and producer of KantFest's biggest Slovenian festival of singer-songwriters. Andrej has contributed to music by: Paul Éluard, Federico Garca, Bertolt Brecht, E. Vouk, B. A. * Novak, B. Namestnik, and Ale teger. * He has appeared in several performance festivals, including Festival Lent, Cankar Hall, the Bortnik memorial, KUD France Pretent, and international stages in Trieste, Macedonia, etc. In 2008, he was performing with "varieté Roe za F" (Flowers for F), which had many commercial appearances and was also included in the Festival Lent that year. Andrej was also making an experimental debut, preparing his roots in the form of Libero, with Drago Mlinarec, Ciril Sem on percussion instruments, Matjac on piano and harmonica, and Peter Jan on solo guitar. Andrej is also a composer of music and a producer of children's shows. "Jezernik, povodni moo iz Crnega jezera" (Lakey, the aqua man from the Black Lake) is the most recent of his children's puppet shows. * It is presented in partnership with storyteller Jasna Branka Staman.
