The house that was robbed: Kenneth Noye, the street rage killer who gained his violent fame and predicted that an undercover cop would be stabbed has now sold for £2.5 million

www.dailymail.co.uk, February 14, 2024
Kenneth Noye, the road rage killer who killed an undercover policeman, has finally sold for less than it last changed hands for in 2006. Noye's Mock-Tudor mansion was constructed by Noye from the ill-gotten gains from his time in jail and was originally called Hollywood Cottage. Noye also used it to hide some of the £26 million robbed gold bullions robbed from the Brink's-Mat robbery in November 1983, which ended in eight years in jail. It has now sold for closer to £2.5 million - less than the £2.8 million it last went for in May 2006, with the estate agent confirming that it would make a 'lovely home.' The 8,500 sq ft home in West Kingsdown, Kent, was the epicentre of Noye's life of crime. It features a swimming pool, sauna, and steam room, six bedrooms, five bathrooms, and a self-contained apartment above a triple garage. Inset: Stephen Cameron, who was stabbed to death by Noye.

CHRISTOPHER STEVENS (Chester, a bloke), as my colleague Mervyn Hancock, was a big bloke in every sense - big, loud, 6ft 3in, and obliviously good-humoured. However, this heroic man was left red-faced and shaken after an encounter with John 'Goldfinger' Palmer, now a central figure in BBC1's crime drama The Goldfinger' Palmer. We learned that Palmer was running a timeshare scam in the early 1990s, when I was working at Bristol's morning paper, ripping off thousands of holidaymakers.
