William Timothy Cowlishaw (born March 31, 1955) is an American sportswriter for The Dallas Morning News, a regular panelist on ESPN's Around the Horn, and former lead reporter for the ESPN race show NASCAR Now.

Dennis and Cowlishaw are now co-hosts on KESN's Dennis and Cowlishaw with Steve Dennis.

Career

Cowlishaw attended the University of Texas at Austin. He joined the Dallas Morning News in 1989 and became the newspaper's lead sports columnist in 1998. While at the Morning News, he served as a beat writer for the Dallas Cowboys, Dallas Stars, and Texas Rangers. For the San Jose Mercury News, he has also covered Oklahoma Sooners football for The Daily Oklahoman and the San Francisco Giants. Cowlishaw was previously the lead reporter for ESPN2's racing show NASCAR Now. Dennis and Cowlishaw, a late afternoon sports talk show on Dallas radio station KESN with Steve Dennis, co-hosted Dennis and Cowlishaw until 2020.

Cowlishaw was selected by Associated Press Sports Editors as one of the country's top five sports columnists in 2002 among large-circulation daily newspapers.
