Locals raised the alarm about 1 p.m. after the vessel, which had become ablaze off the coast of Caswell Bay and Brandy Cove, Swansea, sparked thick plumes of smoke billowing. Two people who were onboard the boat were rescued, according to the HM Coast Guard, although the cause of the fire remains unknown. Firefighters arrived at the beach about 2.25 p.m., according to one couple who live nearby, Mark and Helen Bowden. The couple captured stunning aerial photographs of the accident using their drone.
