Tiger Woods fans are seeing red over his new clothing drop.  The golfer's hotly-anticipated apparel collection, Sun Day Red, left many fans reeling over the exorbitant price tags and lack of range. Notably, the line does not feature any red polo shirts, which have become synonymous with the golf legend.

Tiger Woods has insisted he's still on track to play all four majors this golf season, though the 47-year-old admitted he was 'sore' after The Masters. Woods had played sparingly since he pulled out of Augusta last year with injury, though he said in November that he was aiming to play a tournament per month this year. That still appears to be the plan, as he said he was 'hoping to' stick to that timeline on the TODAY show

Former National Enquirer publisher David Pecker testified in Donald Trump's hush money trial this week about the tabloid's 'catch and kill' practices. A former staffer who worked at the tabloid for more than 20 years told DailyMail.com about the lengths the tabloid would go to for a story. From the 84-player qualifying field, five will progress to final qualifying in June. Tiger Woods will reportedly receive up to $100million in equity as a reward for staying loyal to the PGA Tour, with Rory McIlroy said to be in line for around $50million after resisting the lure of LIV Golf. Strategic Sports Group - a consortium led by Red Sox and Liverpool owners Fenway Sports Group- recently agreed a $1.5billion investment deal with the new PGA Tour Enterprises. Now, according to The Telegraph, around $1bn of equity will be shared among 193 golfers, with $750million reserved for 36 of the world's best and $75million given to retired legends.

However the premium mini-golf experience has attracted attention from a trademark firm representing 48-year-old Woods.

There was a theoretical chance here across the past week that he might run from the course had word got through that his heavily pregnant wife, Meredith, had gone into labor. Such a reprieve never came for the chasing pack, but with his new baby due imminently Scheffler's outlook will be shifting. 

Speaking to reports after his final round at the major on Sunday, Shipley, who shot a 1-over 73 to win the Silver Cup, kept it short when asked about one of his interactions with the five-time Masters champ. 'Neal, I saw on one fairway... a fairway... he wrote something and handed you a note, what was that about?' the reporter asked, referring to Woods. Straight away, Shipley, who was the only amateur to make the cut at the tournament, clarified: 'No, he didn't.' 'I thought he wrote something and handed you a piece of paper?' then the reporter replied. 'No, no, that didn't happen...' Shipley said once more before the press conference abruptly ended.

But after his victorious triumph on the course, the world number one's thoughts immediately turned to getting home to Texas as soon as possible. 'I'm coming home; I'll be home as quick as I can,' Scheffler (pictured inset with his Masters trophy) said when asked if he had a message for his wife. 'I love you and I'm coming home.'

Great Scottie Scheffler, master of Augusta once again. For the second time in three years, this assassin with the frame and personality of a gentle giant found himself cloaked in a green jacket. He was the best golfer of the week and it is getting ever harder to argue against him being the finest of his era, too. He was fabulous here in this four-shot victory. It's not that he was impervious to nerves in compiling the 68 that gave him his winning mark of 11 under par. Nor that it was accomplished without missteps.

A peculiar moment involving Tiger Woods and a tree left golf fans in stitches during coverage of the Masters on Sunday. The five-time winner made history on Friday after making the cut for a record 24th time but the two days that followed saw him finish at the bottom of the leaderboard with a score of 16-over. Although fans would have been disappointed not to have seen him competing for a a record-equalling sixth green jacket, they did at least get a moment of levity during the broadcast when the 48-year-old appeared to give a handshake to a tree.
