A flamboyant Philadelphia socialite who blasted the city's Republican elite with lavish fundraising efforts before being infamed for a $20 million insurance scam has died. Claire Risoldi, 71, who is best known for her bouffant hairstyle, mirrored aviators and her six-bedroom home named Clairemont, died on July 14 before she could serve any jail time for the massive fraud. There has been no information regarding a cause of death. Risoldi was known for her youthful beauty, eye-catching style, and a slim-skinned but plumped-up appearance that suggested a penchant for plastic surgery.

The pigeons, Charlie the parrot, and Squabbly the pigeon, are popular visitors at care homes in Leicestershire. Residents are a novelty and a way to recall their memories.
