Thom Bierdz (born March 25, 1962) is an American actor best known for his portrayal of Phillip Chancellor III on the daytime drama The Young and the Restless.
Personal life
Bierdz's ancestry is Polish on his father's side and Italian on his mother's side. In July 1989, he left The Young and the Restless to pursue film roles.
Troy, his younger brother, who had been living with him in Los Angeles, has returned to Wisconsin. Troy murderer Maria Cushing with a baseball bat in July 1989 and is currently serving a 50-year term in a Wisconsin jail without the possibility of parole. Gregg's brother died in May 2000 after his brother Gregg committed suicide. He has one sister. He appeared on The Young and the Restless from 1986 to 1989, returning for a "dream sequence" in 2004, and in a strange twist, he returned to the role in May 2009, 2010, and 2011.
