She appears on Bleacher Report and Turner Sports.

She served as a host, reporter, and reporter at SportsNet New York long before joining the Turner networks.

She worked with the Big Ten Network prior to coming to New York.

She appeared on BTN Live, BTN Football Pregame, and Women's Sports Report.

Early life and family

Rooks attended Peachtree Ridge High School in Suwanee, Georgia, where she graduated in 2010.

Rooks decided to follow in her parents' footsteps by enrolling in broadcast journalism at the University of Illinois in Urbana-Champaign. Rooks broke national football/basketball recruiting news while working with Scout.com during her time at the University of Illinois. At 19 years old, she appeared on CBS Sports Network covering the WBB Pre-NIT Championship. She interned with the PGA Tour, Comcast SportsNet Chicago, and Fox Sports/Scout.com throughout college. During her time in Champaign, she received numerous scholarships and increased women's interest in television. Rooks modeled briefly, but she shifted her attention to sports journalism.

Rooks comes from a family of athletes. She is the niece of former Pittsburgh Steelers and New Orleans Saints NFL player Marv Woodson, and the niece of Thomas Rooks, top rush leader for the Illinois Fighting Illini. Ryan Rooks, a University of Georgia graduate and a former swimmer and cheerleader, is also a sister and cheerleader.

Rooks worked with scout.com, covering Illinois football and basketball from August 2012 to May 2014. She made national news by sharing her experiences and perspectives on the game, specifically recruiting. Cliff Alexander, Jalen Brunson, Quentin Snider, Aaron Jordan, Charles Matthews, and Jayson Tatum were all published in the magazine.

In August 2014, two months out of college, Rooks became an on-air host, reporter, and correspondent for the Big Ten Network. She appeared on BTN Live, alongside Dave Revsine, Mike Hall, and Rick Pizzo, as well as analysts such as Jim Jackson, Chuck Long, and Glen Mason. One of her roles is to engage with followers and bring their social media pages into the spotlight. Rooks regularly covers Big Ten Games throughout the season, and he also travels frequently for television shows. She and Lisa Byington co-host the Women's Sports Report, which covers all women's sports in the Big Ten.

Rooks became the newest host, reporter, and anchor for SportsNet New York in August 2016. Rooks has also worked for CBS Sports Network as a sideline reporter for the 2016-2017 college football season.
