Early life

El-Telmissany was born in Cairo, Egypt, in a very artistic family.

Kamel El-Telmissany, his uncle, was a well-known painter. He was a founder of Art and Liberty in the 1940s together with Ramses Younan, Adam Henein, Fouad Kamel, and others. Kamel then delved into narrative cinema, primarily to help the company's brand of surrection. He stepped straight into a realist mode, leading Al-Souq Al-Souda (Black Market), which had been barred from nearly four years.

Hassan, his father, followed Kamel into film, becoming a cinematographer for Shell Oil's filmmaking branch, which made films about all aspects of Egyptian life, economic, and social. Shell had sent Hassan to train in London, but after the department closed down, he became an independent documentary filmmaker, filming 20 films with El-Tel-Quader's uncle Abdel-Qader. They formed El-Telmissany Ekhan, which is responsible for several important documentary films.

El-Telmissani's mother, a housewife, who first introduced him to filmmaking, was El-Telmissani. She followed him to a Metro movie theater to see children's films, and when he was nine, he brought him to Al-Nas Eli That (People at the Bottom), where his uncle (Kamel) was shot at Al-Nas Eli That (People at the Bottom) with Youssef Wahbi and Mary Munib accompanied him.

Education

El-Telmissany, who graduated from the Faculty of Languages (Al Alsun) in 1973, received a grant to study Russian culture and language in the Soviet Union.
