Feminists have accused the Scottish Government of 'engaging with fantasy' after a report claimed that it's 'not just women' who experience symptoms of the menopause. The guidance, which campaigners have slated as 'insulting and demeaning', comes in a report on NHS Scotland's employee policy. The Scottish Government has ordered every health board in Scotland to implement the new approach after staff said that they wanted more support to manage symptoms at work. This is a law which makes it a 'hate' crime to abuse a man in a dress but not a woman wearing the very same dress. For, while it offers specific protections for those who are trans-gender, non-binary or simply cross-dressing, it does not offer similar protections for women.
