Susan Farrell Egan, born February 18, 1970, is an American actor, singer, and dancer best known for her Broadway appearances.
She is best known for her role in Belle's Broadway musical adaptation of Beauty and the Beast (1994), as well as supporting Megara in Hercules (1997) and Rose Quartz on Steven Universe.
Early life
Egan was born in Seal Beach, California, on February 18, 1970. She attended Los Alamitos High School and the Orange County High School of the Arts and UCLA, which are colocated. She is also a credited alumna of the Young Americans College.

Career
Egan spent the majority of her time as a child dancing, focusing on ballet, and singing lessons, and she competed as a figure skater from age five to ten.
While attending Los Alamitos High School, the Orange County High School of the Arts, and UCLA, she began her career as a performer with the Young Americans. When attending UCLA, Egan took time off when Tommy Tune cast her as Kim in his touring version of Bye Bye Birdie. She spent the tour on State Fair and took home the coveted role of Belle in the original Broadway cast of Beauty and the Beast, for which she was nominated for the Tony Award and the Drama Desk Award as Outstanding Actress in a Musical.
Egan portrayed Belle on Broadway for one year and reprised her role in the Los Angeles production in 1995, as well as many of the original Broadway cast members. Maria appeared in The Sound of Music in 1996 and Molly Brown in 2002's Unsinkable Molly Brown. In February 2004, Millie joined Thoroughly Modern Millie.
In 2000 and 2001, Egan appeared in one-woman cabaret-style concerts at the Orange County Performing Arts Center and the Carpenter Performing Arts Center. Egan performed as Julie at the Hollywood Bowl in August 2001. She appears in concert with the Gay Men's Chorus of Los Angeles in November 2004. She sings with symphonies as well; she appeared in concert at the Walt Disney Concert Hall.
