Susan "Sue" Cook (born Susan Lorraine Thomas, 30 March 1949, Ruislip, Middlesex) is a British presenter and author.

Early life
Sue Cook (born Susan Lorraine Thomas, 30 March 1949) is a British television presenter and writer. She is best known for co-presenting (with Nick Ross) on the BBC Crimewatch programme from 1984 to 1995. Crimewatch is a factual crime show. Kathleen Thomas, Cook's mother, was born in 1919 and lives in Ickenham, Middlesex, England. William Thomas, her father, served as a senior executive with the Commission on Industrial Relations (later ACAS). She has two younger brothers and lived on Burnham Avenue in Ickenham. She attended Glebe Primary School and later the newly opened Vyners Grammar School in Ickenham, which is also on Warren Road. She obtained ten O-levels and three A-levels before moving to University of Leicester, where she graduated in 1971 with a honours degree in psychology. In 1964, she received the Queen's Guide Award.
Career
Sue Cook's broadcasting career began as a producer, host, and DJ for London's Capital Radio before heading to the BBC, where she delivered shows for both radio and television, including You and Yours, Making History, Nationwide, Children in Need, Out of Court. Cook, in1984, was joint Presenter with Nick Ross on BBC's highly successful debut of Crimewatch, who stayed for ten years.
Other BBC TV presenting credits include Pebble Mill at One, "BBC Breakfast," 'Daytime Live,' Getting a Baby, and the 1994 pilot for Out of This World, as shown by Carol Vorderman, 1996. She was a regular visitor on Call My Bluff and a member of Holiday's team of reporters. She appeared on Channel 4 as The Chelsea Flower Show, the Hampton Court Flower Show, and the famous afternoon show Collectors Lot. She appeared in Edge of Darkness (1985) and in The Life and Loves of a She-Devil (1986).
Cook is a recurring character in the comedy series I'm Alan Partridge, in which she portrays her as an unseen friend of Partridge's.
