Early life and education

Born in Chittagong, Bangladesh, Chowdhury obtained his undergraduate degree in aeronautical engineering from the Indian Institutes of Technology (IIT) in Kharagpur, India (where he received the Distinguished Alumnus Award) and a graduate degree in industrial management from Central Michigan University, Mt. He received the Distinguished Alumnus Award in Pleasant, Michigan. He immigrated to the United States in 1991 and became a naturalized citizen of the United States in 2004.

Education and philanthropic work

All IIT students who want academic support in the area of quality assurance have been invited to the Subir Chowdhury School of Quality and Reliability. The school was inspired by Chowdhury, who is an IIT alumnus. Modules on quality and stability are developed based on engineering process and their effects on the climate and life in general.

The London School of Economics and Political Science was a center of the London School of Economics and Political Science.

The Subir Chowdhury Fellowship on Quality and Economics Fellow is set to complete published research on people's wellbeing and behavior of Asian nations "prioritizing," but not limited to India and Bangladesh. Every year, the fellowship is given.
