Steve "The King" Kinser, 1954, is a professional sprint car racer.

He has won 20 titles in the World of Outlaws (WoO) series and now drives the No. Bass Pro Shops' car number 11 is listed below.

Kinser left the World of Outlaws in 2006 to compete in the National Sprint Tour series, but the 2007 season brought him right back to the World of Outlaws.

In 2008, ESPN named him 25th on their top promoters of all time.

In 2017, he was inducted into the Motorsport Hall of Fame of America.

World of Outlaws career

In 1978, he became a World of Outlaws driver. He won 46 features, including 12 in a row, and 24 of the last 26 events in 1987. He has won the Knoxville Nationals 12 times, the Gold Cup Race of Champions 12 times, and the Kings Royal at Eldora 7 times. He won twenty WoO championships and 690 "A" features (including full-field preliminary night winners). In 2005, he was inducted into the National Sprint Car Hall of Fame. Both columnists and even his opponents have characterized him as the best sprint racer ever. Kinser retired from sprinting in August 2016.
