Manchester City goalkeeper Ederson has posted a cryptic message on Instagram after he had to be substituted against Tottenham.  Ederson received treatment after colliding with Tottenham defender Cristian Romero during City's 2-0 victory on Tuesday night. The 30-year-old has suffered a fractured eye socket and will miss City's game at home to West Ham on Sunday, when they could clinch the Premier League title. Ederson will also be absent for the FA Cup final as City face rivals Manchester United at Wembley.

Ederson has sustained a fractured eye socket and will miss Manchester City's attempts to lift the domestic Double over the next week. The goalkeeper suffered the injury after clashing with Tottenham defender Cristian Romero during Tuesday's crucial 2-0 victory in north London. That win means City can clinch a fourth consecutive Premier League title by beating West Ham at the weekend - but will be doing so without their No 1, who is also out of the FA Cup final.

I've been a Tottenham season ticket holder for well over a decade and travelled up and down the country to support Spurs and supporting them has given me some of the greatest moments of my life. On Tuesday night, I found myself in a situation I've never experienced before and one I don't want to experience again. I wanted the team to lose. Guardiola leans on his goalkeeping coach to make the calls in that area and he's got this one spot on.

Fans were left baffled as to why Ederson was allowed to play on during Manchester City's clash against Tottenham on Tuesday night, after he appeared to suffer a head injury in a sickening clash with Cristian Romero.  The Brazilian goalkeeper dived to stop Romero from getting a foot to a cross, and while he recovered the ball, he appeared to hit his head against Romero's hip.  Romero was immediately concerned for the goalkeepers welfare, with Ederson lying prone on the ground, before Man City's medical team arrived on the pitch to provide treatment. 

Manchester City have suffered a major blow in their title run-in after Ederson was forced off injured in their win against Nottingham Forest. At the City Ground on Sunday the Brazilian made his 40th start of the campaign in all competitions but was replaced at half-time by Stefan Ortega. Silva sidefooted the ball home in the 84th minute after Chelsea goalkeeper Djordje Petrovic parried a shot from former Blues midfielder Kevin De Bruyne. Both keepers were busy with De Bruyne, Phil Foden and Jack Grealish missing chances for City, while Nicolas Jackson, Cole Palmer and Noni Madueke had efforts saved by Stefan Ortega, smothered by the City defence or lost to wayward shots. 

After weeks of anticipation, the Champions League came back with a bang for their quarter-final fixtures.  With 18 goals from just four matches, fans across Europe were treated to a handful of thrilling games, ranging from Arsenal's draw with Bayern to Barcelona's comeback at PSG.  It was a difficult night for both Arsenal and their title rivals Manchester City, who were held to a dramatic 3-3 draw with Spanish giants Real Madrid.

After Red Star Belgrade's first of two goals in Wednesday's final Champions League group stage match against Man City, Robbie Savage pinned blame on Kalvin Phillips. Savage argued that Phillips was to blame for failing to monitor Red Star forward Hwang In-Beom's journey, who scored the hosts' first of two goals against City. However, Ederson was left waiting, with Stefan Ortega preferred - and Pep Guardiola said that the decision was due to Brazil's turbulence over the international break.
