Jean Frances Speegle Howard (January 31, 1927 – September 2, 2000) was an American actor who appeared predominantly in film and television.
Howard appeared on more than 30 television shows, mainly sitcoms, such as Married... with Children (1994–1996), but she also appeared in such films as Grace Under Fire (1993) and Buffy the Vampire Slayer (1997), which were broadcast from 1975 (mostly during the 1980s and 1990s) until her death.

Howard Speegle was born in Duncan, Oklahoma, and the daughter of Louise (née Dewey) and William Allen Speegle.
Personal life
In 1949, she married actor Rance Howard, who hails from Duncan, Oklahoma. Ron Howard, an actor and filmmaker, and actor Clint Howard are among their sons. Bryce Dallas Howard and Paige Howard, Paige Howard's twin Jocelyn Carlyle, and their brother Reed Cross are among her grandchildren.
Career
Ron Howard, a 1954 actress who first appeared on film and television, said she did not work out to raise her children, Ron, born in 1954, and Clint, born 1958. She appeared in the 1956 film Frontier Woman alongside husband Rance Howard and young son Ron Howard. In 1975, the entire family would appear in the television film Huckleberry Finn.
