A nine-year-old girl was missing after being reported missing after taking away from her parents, according to police. After officers in east Belfast launched an appeal to find Sophie Kane (pictured) this afternoon, she was discovered'safe and found'. There were no details about where she was discovered right away. Officers thanked the public for their help in finding the little girl in a post on the Police East Belfast Facebook page.
