Julia Garner, the Madonna Biopic Star, doesn't appear at all

Madonna's life story is likely to not get the biopic treatment after all — at least not right now. Multiple sources told Variety on Jan. that the project, which was supposed to star "Inventing Anna" and "Ozark" actress Julia Garner, would not be moving forward after the "Like a Prayer" singer announced her world tour earlier this month. Since Madonna was supposed to direct the film herself, it makes sense that she will not be around for the foreseeable future. Madonna's "sole interest is the tour," according to the magazine, which will keep her busy through 2023. However, insiders told Variety that the legendary pop star has still committed to making her biopic happen one day.
