ALEX JENNINGS: The Bayaka people, a nomadic tribe who have lived in the Central African Republic's remote forests for more than 30,000 years, haven't encountered any National League owners in that time. However, they have had more people than you might have expected. Rafa and Stefano Petruzzo, the Italian-Argentine brothers who took over Hampton & Richmond in December 2022, are recalling the first adventure they shared together. We were looking for the Bayaka forest,' says Rafa, 'to hear from them, learn their rituals, and get a glimpse at humanity's cradle.' We spent two weeks learning how to survive in the jungle and then travelled down the Sangha river to the Congo.
