Simplified Chinese: ; traditional Chinese: ; pinyin: u Jngxi ; born on August 13, 1975) is a Singaporean former actor and host. She joined the TCS in the mid-1990s and received numerous accolades as an artist with MediaCorp before returning to university on a scholarship in 2005. Following her graduation in 2011, she rejoined MediaCorp to serve her scholarship bond while still serving as an office executive. Despite this, she was still invited to act at televised performances and theatres.
She resigned amicably from MediaCorp in February 2018. In October 2018, she began working as an investment manager in a private equity company headquartered in Paris, France.
Early life and education

Au's first job after her GCE 'A' qualification was a flight stewardess with Singapore Airlines, and her engagement in the entertainment industry began when she was talent-spotted from a Toy Factory Productions English version of a Hong Kong stage musical I Have A Date With Spring. She was best known for co-hosting City Beat with Kym Ng and Bryan Wong in the late 1990s. She performed many roles, from a cabaret girl in the stage musical, Beauty World, to an enthusiastic radio presenter on the sitcom Right Frequency, all of whom received rave accolades.
Au, who is also bilingual, is one of the top emcee-hosts in Mediacorp, alongside Quan Yi Fong and Guo Liang. This is also recognized when she clinched the Star Awards for Best Variety Show Host for four years, from 2000 to 2003.
Au took a break during her career and went to Japan in 2005 for her undergraduate studies at Waseda University in Tokyo, on a MediaCorp scholarship. She also spent a year as part of Waseda University's One-Year International Exchange Program at Jean Moulin University in Lyon, France.
