'A bet (sic) a bet...' Mahomes captioned a post on Instagram in which he had seen a Longhorns fan cry for the 'Hookem' hand signal.' 'Okay, cool #Hookem.' Shane Buechele and his partner Paige, as well as his sister Paige, all of whom attended the University of Texas at Austin, seemed to have misplaced a March Madness bet. All in all, the Longhorns men's basketball team defeated Colorado State in the first round of the ongoing NCAA Tournament, and as an alum of Texas Tech, Mahomes will be deeply concerned about seeing Texas lose. However, Mahomes' costume decision may not have been based on a wager, as Paige Buchele revealed on her Instagram page.
