Seamus Patrick Dever (born July 27, 1976) is an American actor best known for his appearance in the ABC series Castle as Detective Kevin Ryan.
Early life
Dever was born in Flint, Michigan, and migrated to Bullhead City, Arizona, at the age of six, where he grew up. He graduated from Mohave High School as valedictorian, completed his undergraduate studies at Northern Arizona University, and received a MFA in Acting from the Moscow Art Theatre and Carnegie-Mellon University.
Personal life
Juliana Dever, a lifetime member of the Actors Studio, married Dever on May 27, 2006. On Castle, Juliana Ryan, Ryan's wife, appeared. He is a cousin of Broadway actress Jeanne Arnold and Canadian singer-songwriter Feist.
