NRL fans have hit out at the production of the Dally M awards evening on social media claiming it was 'disjointed' and 'gets worse every year'. Jahrome Hughes was left 'speechless' after he pipped Roosters star James Tedesco by the barest of margins to the NRL's best and fairest medal for the 2024 season. Meanwhile, Olivia Kernick was crowned the NRLW Dally M winner, beating Abbi Church and Simaima Taufa to the award following a standout season with the Roosters.

Couple behind gym towel empire Cheeky Winx reveal how they earned $300k in five days - and the huge mistake they'll never make again

After being spoiled with 'useless' gym towels, Kalinda Salla, 29, and fiancé Joel Miranda, 34, launched Cheeky Winx on March 7, 2021. The Brisbane couple invested $40,000 to create funky gym towels and claim that the fabric is quick drying, odourless, ultra absorbent, and lightweight. They were charged $50,000 to try expand to the United States market, but they made more than $300k in Black Friday sales, but they recovered over $300K.

Ashleigh Werner, a member of the NRLW, has pleaded not guilty to biting foe, despite the Roosters' characterization of his actor Jayme Fressard's "good bit of blood and teeth marks" on his actor

www.dailymail.co.uk, July 24, 2023
Ashleigh Werner, a Brisbane NRLW winger, has pleaded not guilty to biting Sydney Roosters colleague Jayme Fressard and will appear in the NRL courthouse in Sydney on Tuesday night. In the 54th minute of the Broncos' 36-18 loss to the Roosters on the Sunshine Coast on Saturday night, Werner was suspended for reportedly biting Fressard. When the Roosters winger made the tackle, Fressard's arm was in touch with Werner's head and mouth. Fressard was said to have been bitten, the Bunker investigated the incident, and Werner was given marching orders.
