With generators that burn organic vegetable oil, the Queen's funeral coverage will be boosted by the BBC

The BBC's massive broadcasting operation at Queen's funeral will be fueled by environmentally friendly vegetable oil. The event will be run on Hydrotreated Vegetable Oil (HVO), which produces much less carbon dioxide than traditional generator diesel, and generators will produce electricity for the corporation's 213 cameras. In addition, the BBC will save electricity by using energy-saving LED lighting in its London and Windsor studios. For the reporting, which airs from 8 a.m. to 5 p.m., cameras that film in Ultra High Definition will be used, so high-quality footage is preserved for archives.
