PLANE has struck and killed an Oklahoma single mother of three, 27, as a result of her riding lawnmower at the airport

The pilot, 70-year-old James Baxter, was preparing to land on the runway at Broken Bow Airport when he noticed Samantha Hayes (pictured left) on her mower in the field surrounding the runway. According to the Oklahoma Highway Patrol, Baxter attempted to lift the wing over Hayes but was unable to do so, fatally striking the plane's wing in the head. Hayes was pronounced dead at the site of the accident due to head injury, according to authorities.
