Dancing On Ice star Sam Aston donned his skates and took to the rink for the very first time this week - and it looks like he's already being put through his paces. The English actor, 31, turned the training session into a family affair as he arrived at the Manchester Ice rink on Friday with his wife Briony Aston and their three children.  He cut a casual figure in a black tracksuit consisting of a zip-up hoody and jogging bottoms as he took to the rink with one of the trainers. 

The seventh celebrity confirmed to be taking part in the new series of Dancing on Ice was confirmed on Wednesday. They will be joining Ferne McCann, Mollie Pearce, Sir Steve Redgrave, Sam Aston, Charlie Brooks, and Josh Jones.

Comedian Josh Jones was the sixth celebrity confirmed to be taking part in the new series of Dancing on Ice on Wednesday.  The star, 31, from Manchester was announced on the radio station Gaydio where he admitted he had 'no skating experience at all'.  He said: 'I've not got any skating experience whatsoever, I did it once for a date years ago and I wasn't very good, I was holding onto the railings the entire time and we aren't together now. 

EastEnders star Charlie Brooks has become the fifth star to be confirmed to join the new Dancing On Ice line-up.  Coronation Street star Sam Aston, TOWIE star Ferne McCann, The Traitors' Mollie Pearce and Olympic rowing legend Sir Steve Redgrave have been confirmed to be taking part in the new series of Dancing on Ice in 2025.  Sam, best known for his role as hapless Chesney Brown on Coronation Street, was unveiled as the latest contestant during Monday's edition of This Morning. 

Sam Aston and wife Briony have announced they have welcomed their third child on Instagram on Tuesday.  The Coronation Street actor, 30, shared a number of sweet photos from the home water birth as they revealed they had welcomed a baby girl.  The couple were all smiles as they cradled the newborn as they revealed the sweet name they had picked out.

On Thursday's Loose Women, Corrie actress Briony collapsed while talking about her miscarriage heartbreak. After telling her how she had two miscarriages within four months of each other in early July, the mother-of-two, 27, appeared on the show with her actor husband, 30, 30. On the chat show, she courageously shared how neither pregnancy reached 12 weeks and that although it has been difficult, other women sharing their experiences helped her heal.

The bereaved mother, 27, who took to Instagram to share the sad news, said, "This is a difficult thing to post, but I'm miscarrying again, for the second time in four months." "It's heartbreaking and unfair, but I'm not looking for sympathy; I'm well-supported and want others to feel understood."

Sam Aston has admitted that he gets anxious every year that his Coronation Street contract will not be renewed. The actor, who has appeared on the ITV soap for more than 20 years, has apprehension over being axed, but he has remained concerned about being axed. Coronation Street actors' contracts renew every 12 months, causing Sam a lot of stress.

On Wednesday, the Coronation Street cast members were out in force as they arrived on site for Gemma Winter and Chesney Brown's wedding. Gemma (Dolly-Rose Campbell) pictured in a bridal store wearing a glittering gown, and Sam Aston, who plays her husband-to-be, was well-suited and booted for the big day. The actress, 35, was seen wearing a warm red ITV coat in between shoots as they shot the scenes in the cold weather.

Briony, Sam Aston's wife, has posted an intimate throwback snapshot of herself while pregnant. In a mirror selfie, the hypnobirthing instructor and yoga enthusiast shared a snapshot of herself posing nude and showing off her baby bump on Instagram on Tuesday. 'Missing her bump', Briony, who has two children with husband Sam, said.
