Samuel David Aston (born 7 June 1993) is an English actor best known for his portrayal of Chesney Brown on the ITV soap opera Coronation Street.
Personal life
Briony Gardner, a yoga instructor, became Aston's first engagement in 2017. He proposed to her in front of 250 people at an annual charity golf dinner that he hosts with co-star Andy Whyment and Alan Halsall at the Worsley Park Marriott Hotel in Salford. They announced in May 2020 that they were expecting their first child. They revealed that they were expecting their second child in October 2021.
Career
Aston made his television debut in Eddie Mountain at the age of five as an extra. He appeared in Where the Heart Is and The Bill as well. After four auditions, he was cast in the role of Chesney Brown on the ITV soap opera Coronation Street in 2003.
At the National Television Awards in 2004, Aston was named Best Newcomer. Aston received the Best Dramatic Performance for a Young Actor or Actress at the British Soap Awards the following year. Aston presented the Queen with a bouquet at a party in October 2005 to commemorate fifty years of ITV.
