Queen Mathilde of Belgium (pictured left, and with the duchess, far right) and Grand Duchess Maria Teresa of Luxembourg kicked off the second day of the royal state visit on Wednesday with a tour of an art exhibition in Brussels. The Belgian monarch, 51, took the Duchess, 68, to the impressive Surrealism: A History Without Laughing exhibition at the Bozar centre for fine arts (inset). The Queen looked stunning in a bright all-red ensemble, which included a custom hat from Belgian milliner Maison Fabienne Delvigne made from pleated natural fibres.

On Tuesday night, the 77-year-old Belgian-born fashion designer, who created and popularized the wrap dress, was photographed walking out of Joyce Theater in New York City with Barry, who we'll all remember as 2000. Her public appearance comes just days after her older sister-in-law, model and socialite Ira von Furstenberg, who was identified as one of the first 'It girls,' died.' According to Italian media outlets, Ira died in Rome on Sunday at the age of 83. Prince Eduard Egon von und zu Furstenberg, also known as Egon, was Diane's first husband, and the pair married from 1969 to 1983. Despite their divorce, the couple remained close until his death in 2004 at the age of 57.

Robert Skafte, 66, was pronounced dead shortly after the tragic incident at Minneapolis' Oak Grove Grocery on Friday afternoon. Taylor Justin Schulz, 44, is currently in jail after a six-hour standoff in a nearby apartment building where he barricaded himself inside (bottom right). He was found several items at the front counter of the neighborhood store where Skafte was stationed just before 1 p.m., before hurling the knife 'through the store clerk's torso' before fleeing. As Schulz was still on the scene, a neighbor walked into the store shortly after and was able to warn authorities. Skafte was still alive at that point, and he told him that his attacker had arrived earlier in the day but not the day before the deadly encounter.
