Career
Mudvayne was born in 1996. Shawn Allen, the club's first bass player, was a joke name for insiders. Mudvayne's first EP, Kill, I Oughta, was released in 1997, with Shawn as their bass player. The band recorded five studio albums during their career, but the band didn't remain active until 2010, when they went on a permanent hiatus. Mudvayne reunited for their first shows in over a decade and possibly new music in April 2021.
Martinie was the guest bassist on Kurai, a project devised by guitarist and singer Scott Von Heldt. Abel Vallejo, Korn's drum tech, was the drummer. On December 17, 2013, the band's debut EP, Breaking the Broken, was released.

Martinie has a "not yet identified" side project that he intends to bring to life, including: "People will have to see my ugly mug whether you like to or not..." There's a lot going on, whether these end up being Mudvayne stuff or something else, I'm not going to be concerned about what ends up being what or where it goes." His playing style will be different from that of Mudvayne, according to him. Korn revealed on August 2, 2012 that Ryan Martinie would accompany them on their European tour, which began in Poland as the band's bassist. Fieldy, a Korn bassist, and his wife were expecting a child.
