'99, a new three-part documentary film charting the Treble-winning season of 1998-99, airs globally on Friday on Amazon Prime video. And at a time where watching Manchester United on the pitch has largely brought fans bucketloads of frustration and angst as they head into the final league game against Brighton on Sunday running the risk of missing out on Europe entirely, '99 provides something akin to a warm hug.

The most brutal football match in history, Ryan Giggs' shirtless celebration and THAT Ronnie Radford screamer... the 10 greatest FA Cup replays of all-time

www.dailymail.co.uk, April 18, 2024
They've given us drama, agony, fairytales and often pure chaos, but FA Cup replays will be no longer after world's oldest knockout competition received a major shake-up on Thursday. Following an agreement between the FA and the Premier League, it was announced that replays will be scrapped from next season in what is a major blow to football purists. We've already seen replays scratched away over recent years, with them no longer taking place from the fifth round onwards ever since the 2018-19 campaign. Yet, they've regularly provided a lifeline for lower league clubs, while replays have also given us some of the most memorable moments the game has ever seen.

The Premier League is poisoning our game and their hand in having FA Cup replays scrapped is another spoonful of arsenic down the throats of the smaller clubs, writes OLIVER HOLT

www.dailymail.co.uk, April 18, 2024
OLIVER HOLT: The Premier League announced the scrapping of FA Cup replays on Thursday, although of course that is not how the elite club owners presented it. They do not like to be candid about their greed.  They do not like to be honest about their disdain for the rest of the football pyramid, the eco-system that is the kernel of their success but which they are hell-bent on destroying. So they tried to hide that part away. They told us that, actually, this was a good thing. They told us that they would be putting £33m more into grass roots football without saying that many multiples of that figure would be lost to grass roots football through the death of replays that are often the difference between profit and loss for lower league clubs.

The Premier League of Nations! The English top-flight has featured players from 126 countries, with Ireland and Spain among the higher contributors... but which nation leads the way in 2023-24?

www.dailymail.co.uk, April 17, 2024
The Premier League is considered the greatest division in the world and for good reason, but one the most impressive things about the English top-tier is the level of diversity.  Some 126 nations from around the world have been represented at one point during the 31 years that the league has been running, showcasing some of the best talent the game has to offer.  This season alone, there are 63 nations represented in the Premier League aside from England, with France leading the way with 31 players while the likes of Estonia and Gabon have just one representative in 2023-24.

With Man United boss Sir Alex Ferguson missing a critical spot-kick he took away from Ryan Giggs, Nani shares-up on a traumatic car ride

www.dailymail.co.uk, April 5, 2024
Former Manchester United manager Sir Alex Ferguson rescued him just hours after he missed a crucial penalty for the Red Devils. Ryan Giggs was United's designated penalty taker back in 2010, but he didn't take a spot-kick during a match against Fulham Nani, which he missed after being saved by Cottagers David Stockdale. After the game, the game ended in a 2-2 draw and saw Sir Alex's guys lose critical points in the Premier League, but Nani's day went from bad to worse. Ferguson's train came home in Macclesfield, and he had to be his chauffeur because he lived next door to the boss. The winger and his dissatisfied boss were transported home in an uncomfortable and deadly silent ride.

www.dailymail.co.uk, April 1, 2024

Ryan Giggs' eight-year affair, Thierry Henry was accused of "unreasonable conduct," according to Ray Parlour, who had to pay his wife £250k a year

www.dailymail.co.uk, March 30, 2024
Whether it's addiction, murder, or divorce, there's often more to some of the world's best actors and celebrities than is apparent when they're earning hundreds of thousands of dollars per square foot running around a field. Over the years, there have been some tumultuous divorces, most resulting in squabbles over money, custody, or, in the case of former Chelsea star Geremi, a lack of. More information will follow shortly. Whether it be Thierry Henry or Ryan Giggs, marriages-gone-wrong seldom get out of the limelight, leaving a sour taste in the mouth and a stain on the careers of some of football's poster boys.

www.dailymail.co.uk, March 25, 2024

D-day for Rob Page: Wales' Euro 2024 playoff against Poland on Tuesday was an acid test for the Welsh manager, although a win would see him achieve something that no one before him

www.dailymail.co.uk, March 23, 2024
TOM COLLOMOSSE: Rob Page is gearing up for a night in Cardiff that may or not have a lot to do with his time as Wales manager. On Tuesday, defeated Poland and Page will do what no Wales manager has ever delivered - qualifying for two major tournaments in a row. Despite Page's leadership of the team at Euro 2020, Ryan Giggs was in charge of the entire qualifying process. Page's future is up for discussion again, but it will happen again. Because when you strip away the Red Wall romance and Yma o Hyd's renditions, it is clear that Wales will have failed to qualify for Euro 2024 despite all the cards falling in their favour.

www.dailymail.co.uk, March 19, 2024
Sir Alex Ferguson forged with some of Manchester United's best players, but one stands out among the others. Sir Jim Ratcliffe, who capped his £1.3 billion minority takeover at Old Trafford at the end of last year, does a good job with Ferguson and the topic of the best player the Scot has ever coached comes up. Ferguson helped to create the coveted Class of '92, which featured Ryan Giggs, David Beckham, and Paul Scholes, as well as the club's all-time leading goalscorer.

This iconic top from the 90s was my favorite shirt of the group, and Dan Biggar's earliest Manchester United fan growing up

www.dailymail.co.uk, March 15, 2024
I was a devoted Manchester United fan growing up, certainly a more avid fan than I am today, and this is the one I remember best, especially for the Ryan Giggs moment. When teams are successful, you always remember shirts, and I can remember Andy Cole and Dwight Yorke's banging in the goals.
