He is best known for the series A to Z Mysteries (from 1997), Capital Mysteries (from 2001), and the Calendar Mysteries (from 2009).
His books are intended for children and the first and second grade. Roy was born in Hartford, Connecticut, and he has lived in Connecticut for the majority of his life.
