CHRISTOPHER STEVENS : Trial of two nights, Murder Trial: The Killing Of Dr Brenda Page (BBC2), a film mostly in Aberdeen, has brought us to discover our own instincts in a situation that took nearly 50 years to find, has inspired us to put our own instincts to the test. Dr. Page, the head of Aberdeen University's genetics department, was found dead in her rented apartment. She was 32 years old and divorced from a man she described as violent and emotionally abused. She expressed her dissatisfaction with her ex-husband Dr. Christopher Harrisson's suicide in the days and weeks leading up to her murder. Harrisson was investigated after her death but not released due to a lack of evidence. Many believed Dr Page was killed by an unknown assassinator: she was serving as an escort to supplement her income, giving her employer and a sympathetic ear to men on the North Sea oil rigs.
