Roderick MacKinnon (born February 19, 1956) is an American biophysicist, neuroscientist, and businessman.
He is a professor of Molecular Neurobiology and Biophysics at Rockefeller University and shared the Nobel Prize in Chemistry with Peter Agre in 2003 for his research into the construction and operation of ion channels.
