This week, filming of the ninth series on ITV was suspended after a red-top Triumph Herald collapsed while trundling through the winding lanes, causing Robson Green, who plays Inspector Geordie Keating, to get out and push. As the cast and crew struggled to get the classic motor running again, Green, 58, wearing Keating's famous beige mac, found the amusing side. Rishi Nair, 32, who takes over as Grantchester's vicar from Tom Brittney, was in the driving seat. The car roared back to life after half an hour of tinkering under the bonnet.
